How to Use your Macbook with Spotlight as a database

This is not a question but shared information - Really sorry!!! to the people who I am sure will let me know that this is the incorrect location for this type of post but hope that someone can benefit from it and appreciate it. 🙂 🙂 🙂

I wanted to share how I use my Macbook with Spotlight as a database for my studies. I find this method narrows my spotlight searches down more closely to files I have already marked as significant to my studies or other matters.

Select "Get Info" of the file you would like to easy find again later.

In the "Comments" section add keywords that you can use to find this file again. i.e. almond milk, milk, EOQ, accounting, etc

Use Spotlight to find that file by typing comment:almond or milk or almond milk

Please note that spotlight currently only accepts the word "comment" without an "S" as shown on the "Get Info" "comments" section i.e. type comment:search term.
